Press Release Body = London, 5th December 2006: Exterity, a specialist in network IPTV has announced that its equipment has been used in a deployment for DCD Media plc, the TV production and distribution company. IPTV specialist Netvue - who supply Exterity’s entire portfolio of products including the isocket, idaptor and tridaptor ranges - has installed the system at the company’s new offices in central London, providing a choice of Freeview channels, satellite channels and a DVD feed, all distributed using Exterity IPTV equipment on the DCD Local Area Network.
“Netvue has used our technology to expand its existing broadcast-based marketplace to include corporates, delivering high quality distributed TV anywhere, at anytime, which is ideally suited to DCD Media’s industry” said Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity.
“We are a television business, so it makes sense to have television in our offices” commented Derek Nelson, Interim Chief Operating Officer at DCD Media. “Netvue’s system gave us the advantage of television on our computer desktops and the ability to put display screens anywhere in the building without the need for extra cabling”.
The TV channels are displayed on LCD displays in the reception area and meeting rooms, and on PC and Mac desktops across the company.
