Established for more than 20 years, Buzzwords was set up by freelance copywriter Mike Beeson in the 1980s. Early clients included leading UK advertising agencies. These were soon joined by blue-chip organisations across a variety of business sectors.
Commenting on the new campaign, Mike Beeson was upbeat about prospects for the coming year:
“2007 looks likely to be another great year for copywriting in both the UK and overseas,” said Mike. “The Internet has seen copywriting skills move to centre stage as more people realise that relevant, informative content is what underpins every aspect of marketing communications.
“When we realised that 2007 included the famous ‘007’ from the James Bond books and movies,” Mike continued, “we thought we’d have a bit of fun with it!
“The themes we’ve come up with include ‘From Cheshire With Love’ (Cheshire’s where we’re based!); ‘Buzzwords Are Forever’; and ‘Copy Galore!’ Anyone who says you can’t be creative when it comes to Internet marketing has obviously never come across Buzzwords!”
