Medicare battles misleading marketing practices

Los Angeles, California, May 26, 2007 - Furthermore, Hayes said that the Congress
should also sanction state governments to implement these standards, vigorously. He
even declared that the Bush Administration failed miserably to regulate the “private
health plans” and shield Medicare beneficiaries from these schemes.

Protect Medicare Beneficiaries,” the “Medicare Rights Center” together with the
“California Health Advocates,” which is a non-profit organization committed to
Medicare’s beneficiary support and education projects for residents of California.

They also detailed the corrupt sales practices of insurance agents. Furthermore,
they demand for a heightened awareness of the government regarding these private
insurance agents that are selling Medicare plans on drug and health.
