Miami, Fl - The Core DJs, the largest DJ coalition in the world along with Beat Source, Triple P and Konvict Music is now preparing for its Eighth Retreat and planning to hit hard in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, March 14 – 17, 2008 at the Marriott® Lakeway located in Metairie .
Having held successful Retreats in Chicago, Miami, St. Louis, Houston, Atlanta and most recently Dallas, the Core DJs have decided to bring their ever successful and expanding Retreat to the City of New Orleans to not only reach new talent, but also to give back to a city that is in its rebuilding stages.
Always keeping it fresh and innovative, the Core DJs are adding a new component to their Retreats by allowing radio stations to host a live broadcast from the host hotel during the Retreat weekend. About the Core DJs and The Core DJs Retreat
Tony Neal, CEO of The CORE DJ\'s, founded the organization in December of 2003. Tony\'s purpose for organizing a DJ coalition was to empower and educate the core of the music industry, the DJs. To date, the Core DJs have expanded to international lengths with a Latino division, DJs in Canada and as far away as Australia. Some of the most influential DJs and music executives are members of The Core DJs including, Big Tigger, Clinton Sparks, The Baka Boys, Mr. Collipark and Kid Capri to name a few.
The Core DJs Retreat acts as a reunion for DJs by inviting all DJ organizations to network with one another while attending various listening sessions, artist meet & greets and several artist/label showcases which have seen participation from Atlantic Records, Warner Brothers Records, Def Jam, Virgin, So So DEF, Sony BMG, Rap-A-Lot Records, Jive, Bad Boy Entertainment and a host of others. The retreat is a way for DJs to network with each other, listen to new music and learn new industry trends.
