Archiving is increasingly being recognised as a vital component of corporate email systems by providing a verifiable long term store of a companies emails independent of any backups taken of users mail boxes. The product from Zimbra complements the existing email and collaboration suite.
Although quite a number of companies offer hosted versions of Zimbra CS (and SMS were one of the first in Europe) SMS is the first to offer the Archiving service to customers. Archiving will be available to users of the SMS shared Zimbra service - the service chosen by SME customers - and also to dedicated server customers.
