The Only Fast Food For Filipinos

Released on: September 30, 2008, 12:18 am

Press Release Author: Christine Layug

Industry: Small Business

Press Release Summary: Jollibee Philippine, or widely known to Filipinos as simply
Jollibee, is a fast-food restaurant chain based in the Philippines.

Press Release Body: Fast-food restaurants are the most popular places where people
grab food and go. Fast food is the term given to food that can be prepared and
served very quickly. So if you’re ever in a hurry and wanted to grab some good eats,
then fast food restaurants are the best place to go. McDonalds and Burger King is
among of the popular names when some hears the word fast food, but when a Filipino
hears the word “The number 1 fast food restaurant in the world”, then that would be
the Jollibee Philippine.
Jollibee Philippine is now the biggest fast-food chain not only in the Philippines,
but all over the world. As of December 2007, Jollibee Philippine has become one of
the biggest fast-food chains in the world with 1,655 stores worldwide and total
sales of more than $1 billion.
But did you know that the href=http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=67&cid=14>Jollibee
Philippinedid not start off just like that. Just like any other kinds of popular
fast food restaurants, it started small, very small. And actually, it didn’t start
off selling burgers, fries, and fried chickens, the Jollibee Philippine started only
as an ice cream parlor, a Magnolia ice cream parlor to be exact.
30 years ago, a man named Tony Tan Caktiong started a Magnolia ice cream parlor down
in Cubao, with Jolibe as its name. But sometime back in 1978, a man named Manuel C.
Lumba, a management consultant, offered his services to the Caktiong siblings.
Consultant Lumba shifted the business focus from ice cream to hamburgers, after his
studies showed that a much larger market was waiting to be exploited.
Long after that, Lumba became Tony Tan's first business and management mentor. Lumba
next re-formed the name Jolibe to Jolly Bee and made the two words form a single
name Jollibee, but changed the "y" to an "i".
Since then, the Jollibee Philippine have grown to what we know now as the largest
and the biggest fast-food chain in the world as we, the Filipinos, know today. And
as of this year, 2008, , Jollibee Philippine has 1,464 stores in the Philippines
namely, Jollibee having 627 stores, Chowking having 377 stores, Greenwich Pizza
having 236 stores, Red Ribbon Bakeshop having 194 stores, Delifrance having 28
stores and Tio Pepe having 2 stores. It also has 191 Jollibee Philippine stores
overseas.
Now the products of Jollibee Philippine have always been on the demand throughout
the Philippines. Many have also turned to sell Jollibee Philippine food products
through the internet, and among of the most reliable online shop that sells href=http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=67&cid=14>Jollibee
