Excess Baggage Company Introduce Express Overnight Luggage Services

Released on: July 16, 2010, 7:28 am
Author: Excess Baggage Company
Industry: Transportation / Logistics

Excess Baggage Company has developed a new overnight luggage service for shipments within the UK and Europe. The service is designed to allow airline passengers to travel light and send their baggage overnight, perfect for destinations such as luggage shipping to France.

It is particularly suited to airline passengers and those who would normally be charged a premium to take their excess baggage with them on board by airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet, as well as British Airways, Air France, KLM and Lufthansa. The charges made by airlines for luggage beyond the 20kg allowance ranges from £20/kg and up, depending on the airline carrier and route. An average suitcase from London to Dublin, above the allowance, would cost around €400 with the airline. Excess Baggage Company's easy to use service allows the passenger to dispatch his luggage in advance for 24/48 hour door to door delivery on many routes for a fraction of this price.

Excess Baggage Company, www.Excess-Baggage.com have traditionally specialised in Intercontinental Baggage Moving to destinations like shipping to Australia, NZ, South Africa and SE Asia with shipping Freight to China as well, and it is hoped that this new product will help travellers who need to move their baggage at short notice door to door.

The service has been given endorsement by a wide range of interested parties, and it is already attracting interest from airlines and airports. David Elliott, Chairman of Excess Baggage Company commented: 'Passengers in the USA have for some time enjoyed the benefits of door to door luggage shipping, and this is now available to travellers in the UK and Europe. We predict a significant switch to shipping baggage door to door as passengers and airlines reap the cost and service benefits of moving luggage hassle free.
