DirectRooms.com announces that Brunei, Cambodia and Laos will be going head to head in June to decide who will be crowned champions of division five in HSBC’s Asian Five Nations Regional Tournament.

The games will be staged in Brunei and the host nation is looking to take advantage of playing at home and the support of the huge crowds that are expected for the event. Brunei whoever will face difficult competition in the strong Laos side that are the current champions and have been victorious for two years running. Cambodia will be an equally tough encounter as both sides are capable of playing fast, attacking rugby which should make for a close fought battle on the pitch when all the teams show down between 21st and 27th June 2011.

This regional tournament forms the lowest division of the Asian Rugby Football Union’s (ARFU) league featuring a total of 25 Asian sides. The rest of the league is divided into four divisions with Japan currently top and each side will be looking to gain entry into the tier above. Teams currently in division five can’t be relegated and league officials are still working on a process for the winners to be able to gain entry into division four.

Visitors using cheap Bandar Seri Begawan hotels and wanting to attend the games can head to the Belapan stadium to see just who will end up topping the group.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “This is the main event for rugby fans in Brunei and many people will be booking up hotels as they go to watch the games. Early reservations are therefore advised to be sure of getting a room.”
