DirectRooms.com is pleased to announce the dates for the 2011 Biarritz Dance Festival. This hugely popular international dance festival is also known as “le Temps d’Aimer La Danse”, or the Time to Love Dance.

The festival, which is 20 years old this year, will take place between the 9th and 18th of September, and features dance in all its styles and configurations. From break dancing to ballet, there is a genre to suit all tastes and degrees of sophistication.

Choreographers are invited by the festival to demonstrate their creations. Visitors will be able to see the very best in dance from companies and choreographers from across the world including the Ballets Russes and companies from Lausanne, Hungary, Spain and Israel. Venues across Biarritz will be used for the festival, and some of the events will be held outdoors.

Biarritz is in the southwest of France, in the Basque region, close to the Pyrenees Mountains. This elegant resort is easily accessible by train – the TGV Express from Paris connects the two cities – and plane, sea and motorway links are good. Festival visitors will find an array of Biarritz hotels to suit all tastes and budgets. Biarritz is also famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and its world famous casinos.

Ticket prices for the various performances offered at this festival will vary. There is a general ticket costing €14, but some of the performances held in the theatre venues will cost more.
