DirectRooms.com welcomes rock legends Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler to Glasgow’s Braehead Arena on both the 8th and 9th October 2011.

These two musical giants will each be performing their own sets during this unforgettable concert, with Mark Knopfler (ex Dire Straits) starting off the concert. The pair first performed together back in 1979 and Mark Knopfler has since been invited by Bob Dylan to record a song on a forthcoming album, which is being produced in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International and Bob Dylan’s 70th birthday. Mark Knopfler also produced Dylan’s Infidels album. This legendary duo is only playing six concerts for their UK tour.

In order to ensure that concertgoers have somewhere to stay in order to enjoy this historic concert, there are many Glasgow city centre hotels to suit all purses and tastes. Glasgow has excellent national and international transport links and there is an airport nearby.

The Braehead Arena Concert will start at 19.30hrs and will end at 22.30hrs. Tickets for the concert are priced at £60. The arena itself is on the outskirts of Glasgow, just off the M8 and close to the River Clyde.

There are many parking facilities near the arena as well as public transport links to Glasgow city. Glasgow is a modern, cosmopolitan city and there is much to do and see while visiting the area. There are many first class restraints as well as clubs and museums. Glasgow has previously been voted as a European city of culture.
