LateRooms.com - Prague Venue to Welcome The Cinematic Orchestra

Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

The Cinematic Orchestra are due to play live at Prague's Lucerna Music Bar in early 2012.

Jason Swinscoe's innovative jazz and electronica outfit will make a rare appearance in the Czech capital on Wednesday January 18th, giving fans a fresh taste of their atmospheric soundscapes.

The group, who release their music through the influential Ninja Tune label, are known for blending live instruments with samples to create a lush, textured listening experience.

As their moniker suggests, The Cinematic Orchestra are interested in exploring the relationship between film and music.

In 2003, they composed a score for Man with a Movie Camera, the classic 1929 silent film by Russian director Dziga Vertov.

More recently, the group released Entr'acte and Manhatta - two pieces of music to accompany other documentary works from the 1920s.

They have also collaborated with vocalists such as soul singer Fontana Brass and UK rapper Roots Manuva.

Tickets to see them perform in Prague are available online, priced at 460 Czech koruna (£15.40).

Music fans looking for places to stay in Prague will find a wide variety of options at LateRooms.com, including Miss Sophie's.
