Discounted Hotels in London Announced for Banff Film Festival

London leg of Canadian festival to take place at the Union Chapel in Islington.

The annual Banff Mountain Film Festival is doing a four-night run in London this February. Specializing in adventure, extreme sports and environmental films, the festival leaves its home in Banff, Canada to come to London between February 21 st -24 th , before embarking on a world tour of the highlights. The festival is taking place at Union Chapel, with tickets costing £12.50.

To coincide with the festival leading London events website, LondonTown.com, has announced discount rates on a number of hotels in London, close to Union Chapel. Available for the duration of the festival, bookings must be made through LondonTown.com in order to take advantage of the reduced rates.

Deals include a deluxe double room at Islington's Hilton from £101 – an 81% discount. Less than 15 minutes walk from Union Chapel, and right next to the Business Design Centre.

The main event in Banff is held every November. It showcases the world's greatest mountain filmmakers, screening the year's best shorts, features and documentaries to audiences of adventure sports enthusiasts and mountain climbers.

Films showing at the London leg – which kicks off the tour – include ‘The Swiss Machine', a documentary on Ueli Steck, the legendary speed alpinist, and Azadi: Freedom, a short taking a political look at Kashmir through the eyes of its skiing community.
